Mine was in 2000. That was my first time. Been back ten times since then.
Glad I did too, Seven. Used a travel agent, didn't know much about where we were booked all I knew whas that it was a AI. Arrived at our resort after 4:00, rested, dressed for dinner.
How beautiful the sounds of tree frogs, reggae, etc. as my daughter and I walk to the main area for Dinner. What to our suprise, we were not dressed as everyone else. Little did we know

Well, the staff knew that we had no idea what kind of place this was. They offered to send us to Grand Lido, but after that evening we met some great people, half naked and all! Whips & chains, Oh, dear! So, we stayed on the Prude side, some thought we were freaks after through the grape vine they thought we were a Mother & Daughter team. Oh! Dear again. My daughter & I -smiled and picky sweared not to tell the boys ( 3 older sons/brothers). A secret just between a mother & daughter and what a secret!

So, at that time in my life, I had been married my entire life (at 16yrs old). I was so beaten down, I couldn't walk through Walmart. Skinny, looked & felt like I was 80yrs old, all my kids out on their own doing their own thing. They were worried and I had to get my head out of my -ss. No, Party Girl here. This was a beginning point. Second trip to Jamaica, on my own. Horrible reason, but had to get the hell out of Dodge.. September of that same year, it would be in the Newspaper that reported Births from the surrounding 4 or 5 countries. My ex-husband and his girlfriend would be having a child. I book a trip to Sunset at the Palms, so I didn't have to see everyone in my small town USA, whisper & chat. Well, I've done it again. This place is full of Honeymooners, at candle lit tables. I go to dinner to be sittted alone with all the lovey-dovey's.... Everyone stares, I'm alone and wish this wasn't the only place to eat. No way, would I go out on the road. A few nights I didn't even eat dinner. The male staffer ask, where's you Husband? Oh, in town, then... he died and we were to have our anniversary here so I came alone. 10 days of Pure< Hell...... but as I watch all the couples it thought me how husbands were to treat their wives, something I didn't know. Next trip, was for me and not the past. Oh and NO AI, lock downs.......
