Awe, tears for you .... I know exactly where you're coming from Juli ..... After a 26 yr marriage, and raising 3 daughters (2 w/ disabilities) ... he put me out to pasture for a younger model. I'm over it now, but it still sucks. I've done several of my Negril retreats by myself, and have often concluded that Jamaica IS for lovers after watching the 'lovey-dovey's'. But I've also coaxed friends & family to take escapades to Jamaica w/ me, that's WAY more fun. And you're absolutely right - some husbands treat their partners with respect ..... maybe someday we'll find one : ) It's funny that every time I go to Jamaica, I get propositioned by the Jamaican men .... "you need a husband?" .... All I ever think is: 'Like I need a hole in my leg' OR 'Been there, done that' : )
Chin up, girl ..... one thing is for sure ... when you've hit bottom, you know things can only get better!!!
And I love your little secret adventure with you daughter - she'll remember and cherish that vacation long after you're gone.
