They changed mine too when I went to Cali....was my first time flying with AA, but over all the customer service was good and I appreciate that they were friendly and helpful. Anyways, I agree....just go with the flow....you will be in JA in no time. THANKS AND PRAISE

Oh...one thing...when I know I'm connecting in an unfamiliar airport I print out a map ahead of time, it can come in handy especially with the big ones. Enjoy the journey, and have a safe trip

When AA changed my flight to one with a connection through Miami I cancelled the flight and got a full refund. Rebooked and now I'm going through Houston on United, yes I hate Miami airport that much...going was crazy but on my return flight going through customs was a nightmare I had a two hour layover and if my flight wasn't delayed I would have missed it...yes it took that long....

The hotel at Miami's airport (I think it's a Hyatt) has a pool and bar on it's top level. Go check it out if your lay over is more than an hour.

We are million mile Frequent Flyers on American. From our area Washington/Baltimore, all AA flights to JA go through (MIA) Miami. We pass this way 3-4 times annually to JA. MIA has undergone a dramatic reconstruction over the last couple of years. This is mostly complete, and made a HUGE improvement. AA has most of their flights now in the same concorse. Usually, you will only have a few steps to the gate of your next flight. Good place to get a real Mojito!

don't forget La Carrettas......traveling sucks in my opinion and I am afraid of flying so I try to do away with as much stress as possible and keep a good attitude....I always make sure I have at least 2 hr layovers so I don't have to run or cry in lines worrying if I will make my connection. Always worth it when you get to JA!!!!! Glad you have adjusted......enjoy your REACH
