    Cottage #3 Xtabi

    Hi All,

I just booked cottage #3 at Xtabi in November, does anyone have an experience that they can share about Xtabi and cottage #3? Seems nice and photos look good but is it clean, does it cool enough at night, is it private?

    Thank you for your input

Bherald, I hope you don't mind me tagging on to your thread, but I've reserved cottage # 4 for April - I think it's #1 that's similar to #4....nevertheless, I'm very interested to see responses from those experienced Xtabi guests for #3 (and #4!).

    Thanks!!

You'll love Xtabi! It is so nice and laid back. The water is amazing. Snorkeling in the early morning is when the water is calmer and the light, on sunny days is incredible. The staff is very attentive, and the dirty bananas are to die for at the bar.

I don't know about #3, it was vacant when I stayed in #8. It's set back a little off the cliff, not much though. November ought to be cooler than the summer. The fans in the rooms are big and push mucho air down on you. Should be good, I'd think.

I stayed in Cottage #3 in April for the 3rd time. Privacy is good, covered porch is great - keeps it cooler I think!! It's my friends favourite cottage. Outdoor shower

Melody - I've stayed in #1 a couple of times, niiiice! I've been in #4, it's nice as well, you'll love it! wpyogi stayed there in April, she can tell you more about it

Cottage 3 is good choice. It was nice and clean. You may get few falling leaves and ants in the outdoor shower but hey ... it's an outdoor shower! Loved having it. The covered veranda is the best feature. We spent most of our time on it. Our stay in November was nice weather and the cottage stayed nice and cool. Great cross ventilation and a huge quite ceiling fan. It's fairly private but you do have cottage 2 right next to you with a privacy fence in between and cottage 4 front left. If cottage 4 leaves their outside lights on it can be a bit annoying while sitting on your veranda at night. The worst thing to us was the fact there was no coffee pot but I’ve been told if you talk to the desk they may be able to supply you for one.

The best thing about Xtabi is the location and the staff. I would highly recommend it and will definitely stay there again.

Thanks! I'm assuming that Xtabi doesn't supply "beach" towels for guests....did you bring your own outside towel, or did you make do with the bath towels supplied in your cottage?

I used the bath towels in the room. I didn't bring one. However, you may want one to lay over a beach chair.

Thanks bjritz - are they pretty accommodating supplying extra towels? I know of the water shortage, so wouldn't expect/require all towels laundered each day, but if an extra towel pp is hard to come by, I would be sure to bring one of my own.

There were two of us staying and always seemed to be three towels. Just ask Sharon, one of the maids, she'll take care of you. She is so sweet!
