    Money

So, as you guys know. I am still pretty much a newb. We found, that life was easier when dealing in JA currency (On the beach at least). What is the best most affordable way to get JA? The airport seemed like a ripoff.

    Am I right about this?

Best rate and the easiest for me was the International Money Exchange on the beach road just west of Legends. The airport is ALWAYS a big ripoff. I never do any exchanges with them. Some of the hotels/resorts give you much less as well.

Cambios, HiLo and the ATM's are your best bets for getting J's at the best rate.
Avoid most hotels, restaurants, stores, gift shops and supermarkets etc when you pay by US dollars and get J's back in change.

I have found the ATM's to be most convenient. There is one at the HI-Lo and I rarely wait in line. I to have found the airport to be a ripoff.

Flipadel, we have a driver we use every trip for our transfers (Alrick Allen, yourjamaicatourguide.com- good, reliable, and SAFE driver, sorry for the ad) and he stops at a cambio on the way to Negril with good rate, and no wait. We change some money there, then hit the cambio or ATM in Negril if needed.
