Ok Boardies.. Last week of July, first week of August. Oh! Where should we stay? Looking for a few choice's. (any idea's ) Thanks.

Highlander - you have picked the busiest time of the year in Negril. (even busier than Xmas or New Years)
August 1st is Emancipation Day (national holiday)
August 6th is Independance Day (the 50th!)
August 3 to 6th is the ATI/Dream weekend - which attracts a mostly young (20-40 yo) Jamaican crowd from all around the island

I checked a couple of places that have interactive websites showing availability of rooms. Depending on your dates, you might check out the Westender which currently has rooms available July 26th to August 2nd only. If you are able to find a room for your dates, I suggest you book asap. Most hotels/resorts charge a premium rate for period betweeen Aug 1 and 6th.
If you are in JA for 2 weeks, the first week of August would be a good time to check out another part of JA such as Treasure Beach
or on the North coast.
