Not as hot as it is here. holy mother of god.
the usual would Hot- Humid-Rain in the Afternoon hours.........but like all over, normal isnt normal any more.....as you know from being there that afternoon showers will be likely, winds diminish after dark, so it will be "close" as you say...but who cares?? I always do....usually I stay AI or at Alfreds. This time decided to stay at Miss Normas across from Alfreds. I like small settings and looking forward to exploring more of the West End this time.
Got drenched yesterday coming back from my beach walk. I tried to stay ahead of the rain but it was moving too fast. Was successful at (mostly) staying ahead of it the other day.
Been in Negril many times in July... the rain comes earlier & earlier in the day as the month goes on... seeing that now. By mid to late July, rain around noon. How long & how much varies.
Hot here means ~90 degrees. Humidity not near as high as it is in FL, where I live.
Funny enough, Yvonne, the humidity here in FL where you live hasn't been bad either. Never seen it like this before. It is hot during the day but maybe only like 90 and in the mornings and evenings there is nearly no humidity and actually nice light breezes. It has been a very pleasant summer so far (for FL) lol
Call me crazy, but I kinda like when it rains (briefly) in Jamaica. :-)
Pleasant summer except for all the rain I missed - LOL. TS Debby was kind to pull all the moisture from here while it sat off the coast of FL & dumped 12" of rain in Tampa. Not that pleasant in FL for that week or so :-) It was nice to have 2 weeks of no rain here & nice breezes in the past month. The low humidity in Negril in comparison to home has always made it nicer here in the summer & that's been the case for years. Of course, after I walk to the West End, town, & back today, I may change my mind. Except for the extended rain w/ TS Deb, sounds like FL & Negril are on the same page this year.
