Thanks! Thats what I thought. The passport is just a detail.

There really is no reason someone else cant purchase & activate a Sim card for their identical phone and mail it to me. When I land it should work fine ;-)

The phone doesn't have to be identical...in fact...they may have a SIM reader that can activate the SIM without any phone at all...
