The last time it appears new wringer washers were sold ended around 1983...and it seems it's only ordered as a specialty item now or as an used item.
There are relatively affordable washing machines w/options including low water usage. Check the specs of the washers that are offered starting w/Courts...Singer is another company here that shows some of their products online.
To find used wringer washers...you could try the Gleaner & Observer classifieds online or jamaicanclassifieds.com....there's a few other online classifieds...just google. Otherwise, someone down here should just keep asking around.
    Good luck..Beccajean!

I can't imagine shipping charges, though! Lemans is a company used by many Amish communities...we have bought some things from them...neat products!
    Good Luck!

Thanks CD and yes I imagine shipping would bo out to lunch but those are what Im looking for.But I think in JA someone told me that no matter how much electricity you use you still pay the same so maybe I will just see if that is true and then maybe just get a regular washer.

Beccajean...electricity/current is billed exactly the same as in North America...per kilowatt hour. Unfortunately, current here in JA is usually at a higher rate than most places!!
