Is there an ample area of shade trees on Merrills 2 beach? I cannot bake in the sun and don't know if there is ample shade for chairs under the trees? I was recently "dumped" by Grand Pineapple's closing.

I was also dumped. I've been curious about Merrill's, I know there are 3 of them. Have you stayed at any of them before?
No I have not, but they look okay and the price is right. I just need my shade!

Merril's is a fine place. We were there in Feb. You will not be disappointed. Plenty of shade.
When we were at GP this past March, we looked at the Merril's properties....Merril's I being right next door, and the others a short walk down...Merril's II has the swimming pool, but it was CLOSED the entire time.....the price is right for all-inclusive, but I don't think anyone would want to take every meal there, based on reviews I've read...and even the bar seems a bit lacking, but, then again, good enough prices, I guess....We got screwed out of GP for next yr,and are considering maybe dropping the AI altogether...not sure if we're ready, tho

Lots of shade at Merrills II ..You can also use I and III..Only II has a pool.
