1st passport at 95 years of young

A true spirit flew from this earth last Sunday morning. Coleen's mother left her earth body in the mornings glow. She was 99 years of good spirit and we will miss her dearly. Lived in her own home by herself till the very end, gardened every day, read daily and was curious about life and everything in it till the end.

True story, she applied for and received her first passport at 95 years of age. Not that she had not lived a wandering life, traveled away from home to attend college, traveled away to become Rosie the Riveter during WWII, had driven through up down accross all of the lower 48. But until her grand daughters wedding in Negril she had never had a need for a passport, I hope all of us maintain our spirit of adventure into our 90's. 2 goals: 1. To have a margarita at Margaritiville 2. To drive up into the hills with me. She accomplished both god bless her soul.

I have won many awards in a lifetime of competition and service. But the highest was offered without plaque or fanfare on a hilltop in post Ivan Jamaica. A true Rasta and a dear friend observed "Chet you are like a father of men, you see need and fulfill that need without being asked". Let us be travelers and not tourist.

What a wonderful, full life to live!!! Love and blessings sent to all that loved her, which I'm sure the list is quite impressive. After quite of few years on this earth, your description of her is definitely the quality of life most of us could only dream of. The sweet memories of her trip will be with all of you forever. My dad is "only" 86, but to travel to Jamaica...."no go sir" as they say in Ja. It would be way too hard for him in his present state. How very fortunate you, she, and all involved..that she could be there with all of her family. Much love sent to all as you celebrate her life here on Earth and the love that was felt by all that knew her.
