Like LLAP, we travel in February to escape the cold of the northeast. We're hoping in another year or two that we can travel more than just once a year.

I've done many. You do get longer days of sun if you go in June but higher risk of rain.I'm doing December to get out of the cold northeast but book my rooms right up to the winter price change.

Been in April and September. Prefer September, lush green and lower prices. We were married in Ocho in Sept and it's also my wife's birthday, so those two things could have something to do with my choice.

@Tizzy-been many times in April and this past visit (same week as you were there) was the worst we have ever seen. Barely saw the sun and the surf was very rough and then the seaweed came rolling in. It was the first time we ever used the pool at Coco and came home as stark white as we went. It was still a lot of fun and a great vacation. You win some and you lose some when it comes to the weather. We go twice a year and I think Nov/Dec is my favorite.

Last couple of years we've been going in January and that has been my favorite. It takes us out of the nasty weather in NJ for a week. The summer too hot, and we were iffy weather wise in early November one year, got the tail end of a hurricane! This year trying early December. A month earlier than normal but price wise it's much better. The way I look at it, it will be better than any month in NJ

So far I have been in May. The weather was just like the weather in Miami in may. Hot all day, rainy in the afternoon for a bit. Sunny in time for sunset.

We have a trip coming in November, and a trip coming for the boardie bash in April.

I think I might do that 4 night package at the treehouse for half my April trip, then the cliffs for the other half.

My favorite months are april and may. I have been once in july-august...TOO HOT! Nov good pricewise but still a little rainy. late Dec, jan beginning of feb are chilly months to me, i had to use a shawl on the beach 1 yr. I find the water a bit to cold to enjoy during those months. once had a jamaican tell me "we're having a cold front" I'm from Buffalo...thats a cold front for ya!.....But i go for extended stays out of the cold and snow of the northeast.....and a chilly day in ja beats a snowy day at home any day! april may be a little rainy but rain makes things grow and may is just warming up to heat. But i go for extended stays(usually feb-may) out of the cold and snow of the northeast.....and a chilly day in ja beats a snowy day at home any day!
