I like Negril when it's relatively quiet with perfect weather -- not too hot, not too windy or stormy ....
I think the best time is mid January ....

I love late November and late May. Low season rates, not too crowded but not too empty. Weather is perfect with some afternoon showers that disappear quickly. Holiday days off work combined with vacation days make for a longer stay. Thanksgiving in Negril, Memorial day in Negril. Ahh.
We live in the northeast U.S. and like to get out of the snow & cold for a while. We usually travel in mid to late Feb which also happens to be the dry season in Ja.
I am sure we miss out on many beauitifull things by traveling in the winter. When / if we hit the lottery we will try all the other months![]()

I love January to break up the cold winter. My husband likes November because it is cheaper
We have been many times of the year, but we prefer November. Hurricane season is over and the humidity is lower. We find that in the winter months, the water is slightly chilly.
I have been in January, April, May, September, October, November and December......
So far, I like them ALL
But clearly, I still have more research to do

Was there in July. Really hot and humid...little rain in the p.m. and sunny the rest of the time. I liked it.
April...Too overcast and the water was too rough. Had I not been distracted by crazy people and lots of fun i would've been a bit disappointed. Was that typical for April?

We have been to Negril in March and November. I like mid to late November best. Mid is kind of quiet and the closer to Thanksgiving week the busier it gets. Prices are still low season and most places are open. The weather was perfect both months.

I love january and february, the weather is perfect.
We have only ever been in late February and early March ...... love the weather and the beach then.
We are going in early September and late November this year ...... will know better what I like more after that.
But really, is there ever a time in Negril that you would not want to go?
