Dramamine and Bonine are decent otc motion sickness meds but they tend to make you drowsy. I get VERY motion sick when I fly even when using them. For the last 6 or 7 years I have been using the scopolamine patch. You have to see your doctor for a prescription but they are awesome. No drowsiness and no discomfort. Put one behind your ear 4-6 hours before travel and you're good to go.

All of the above suggestions are great advice. I just read an article a day or so ago, which was saying that taking at least 600mg of Ibuprofen before flying is quite helpful for those that feel rather "hungover" after flying. When I use that term, it is not literally...just the feeling. If it is mainly motion sickness, then stick with the above suggestions. Thankfully, I use to get "car sick" but flying has never been a problem for me. Good luck!!

Try to get a good nights sleep before your flight (yeah right, like anticipation hasn't kicked in) No alcohol on the flight - stay hydrated with plenty of water. Bring snack - crackers, cookies, fruit, sandwich. Take a preflight motrin, advil or aleeve (the anti-inflammatory/anti-platelet thing is a good idea) and relax.

I can't sit in the back seat of a car without getting a little car sick but I have yet to have any trouble on a plane. Safe Travels and ENJOY!

Beebeluv have you ever flown before? Are you taking a night flight or day flight? Night flight you could sleep. Guessing you will have a layover somewhere. Do you take anything for car rides, if you do then take that. I would take some ginger, but I like ginger. Are you going alone?
