Sorry if you took it like I was in anyway "mocking" her for this as even a "direct descendant" would only have a 50% chance or so of giving the generally accepted pronunciation as you find in Accompong Town.
As far as Negril. I believe it is pronunced Nay grill as it came from the black eel in the river. In Spanish, it is "Na" sound and not "Ne" sound. At least that is what I was told but, who knows???
