Yup, 40,000 aeroplan miles is correct. It doesn't take too long especially if you have one of their credit cards. I'm thinking about getting a WestJet credit card also.

Thank Islander, I never checked because I always thought it would be way more miles. I have enough points for just me and that may be a problem!! She won't let me go alone.

It doesn't take too long especially if you have one of their credit cards.

I use a CIBC card - I don't have an account there either. Watch for their "specials". They often give something like 5,000 miles just for joining. The miles pile up with it and sometimes you can get double of triple miles too.
