so what your saying in lamemans terms is... they say oh its $10. for this meal but add service charge of $2. so your saying its deceptive to do so because they add it after the fact and they should just put $12. on the menu in the first place instead? right? and instead of doing it after the fact. they should just put it in the menu . but you do agree that that two dollars should still be split amongst the crew? ok but if its not documented on the recipts the resturaunt wouldnt have to give that two dollars to the crew. there would be no way to hold the resturaunt accountable for that . but now that they do have this documented on the recipts if anyone wants to despute wheather or not they got their portion of the tip it could be calculated by say a lawer or judge if the recipts are there stating each charge individually instad of prying at a percentage of a menu price. also im guessing... all speculation.... the reason they put it on recipts is so that they HAVE to give that portion to the crew... if this be true it actually comforts me... because at least everyone HAS to get that money... again... speculation
