No problem! There is more to come. Dre tries to sell at the craft market once a month, but they hassle him as well...since he isnt a local of the area. He lives out in Manchester. If you really do want a pair of the sandals I don't mind asking him to make you a pair?

    Day 3:

I woke up early, again. I felt the need to watch the sun rise and it was a beautiful sight. Before coming to Jamaica I did a lot of research on the activities I wanted to do. The Palm Reserve was at the top of my list. We called a driver who said he could take us there but it was closed…he said we would need to bribe security with at least $10. I’m thinking to myself if the place is closed there was no way I was going to trespass. We declined but we did stop at the Negril Lighthouse. The tour guide told us about the history of the lighthouse…very interesting! I’m a history buff and I love hearing stories! Dre and I got all the way to the top. The stairs at the lighthouse are very steep and you have to walk at an awkward angle. The guide said we could stand out on the ledge but there was no way I was going out there…I don’t do heights.

Of course I took it out and put it in my bag... it was too good of a find to leave it there. We walked towards the back of the property and noticed the cliffs and the amazing blue water. That day was hot, the water looked inviting…I would have definitely jumped in, If I wasn’t afraid. We looked across the water/cliffs and noticed a place with a lot of people. Dre told me it was Ricks CafĂ©. I asked him if we could check it out later.

Great pics Kaycee!!! Thnx so much for sharing these. Your friend Dre is very talented...there is so much mass produced trinkets that when you see something like his work, it definately does not go unappreciated.

I felt like a different person after visiting the lighthouse...looking out over the water, seeing how beautiful it is and just taking in the locals...how free they seem is just amazing.
