I know that phone call....it's like butterflies and nervousness and giddiness all mixed together!

    Day2: Cont.
Dre and I had a semi-romantic dinner at Kuyaba. He ordered Curried vegetables with rice and I had chicken stroganoff. It did take more than 15 minutes to get dinner but it was worth the wait. It seems at night Kuyaba has a few stray kittens that come out and hang around your feet. These kittens were absolutely adorable! I couldn’t help but to feed them…I would have took one back to the States but I’m not crazy! LOL! When our dinner finally did come the plates of food were huge!! More than enough for one person; I ended up getting a “take-room” plate.

    Day 3:
I arose early and figured I would go to the beach because I had not been since arriving. Dre wanted my help washing his locks…I knew this would take some time, so we started early. His locks are past his waist…not only is he really tall but his hair is really long! It took a good two hours or so to complete the task. After I finished he walked up and down the beach to help them dry. They didn’t dry completely though.
We decided to walk across the street to Times Square to go meet a friend we made on our last trip. He owns the first store that’s located there. He is really interested in Rastafarian, so he and Dre had a long conversation while I shopped. I didn’t buy much just 2 t-shirts, one for myself and the other for Dre. We returned to the room and I noticed the security guard eyeing me. I swear Jamaican men are some of the boldest guys I know. Not only did he ask to take me out in front of Dre but he made a sexual comment. Now Dre isn’t the confronting type, so he let it slide. I went to the beach but Dre stayed inside. I walked along the edge of the beach near the water. It was so warm and I noticed the Kuyaba glass bottom boat. I really wanted to try it, but I was afraid of being seasick. I was so caught up in looking at the boat; I didn’t notice the two guys on it. One winked his eye and the other did a back-flip in the water…I guess they were trying to impress me? I shook my head, kept walking then I heard a female voice call out to me…I knew right away she wanted to sell me something. I decided not to be rude and took a look at her crafts; Right away, they stood out to me. Not only were the pieces unique but she had made most of them. She led me over to a bench, spread her crafts out and introduced me to her friend who was also selling. I ended buying from both and I don’t regret spending a penny. I sat with them for 2 hours just talking, laughing and getting to know one another. I didn’t have any money on me, but they said I was welcome to take the items back to my room. I couldn’t do that so I walked to my room to get money when I returned the boat guy was there…checking me out. His friend walked over to me, said the guy liked me. I said okay and went back to talking. They invited me to a local Beach party that was going to be near the craft market and I said maybe. I guess I was out there longer than I realized because Dre came out looking for me. I introduced him as my friend, and they said they were very surprised that he was a Jamaican…not sure why though.

Dre and I walked back to our room and along the way we snapped a few pictures of each other but things we found interesting on the Kuyaba grounds. Big ups to the very nice staff of Kuyaba! The grounds keepers work from early morning to the evening maintaining the “green-ness”. I definitely plan to stay here again; I would recommend it for family and couples.
