Seastar room safe?

I was just wondering if there is a safe in the room and how big are they? I'm packing now and trying to decide if I should bring my DSLR and lenses or just a P&S.

Yes have safes in the rooms. The room we stayed in, it was approx (this is truly a guess I might add) was about 9 inch opening and fairly deep. Not large enough for a standard size laptop but would easily fit an Ipad, kindle, etc with plenty of room left. We used it for our passports, cash, digital camera, etc. I am not familiar with a fancy camera with different size lenses but I am guessing there would not be a problem. Maybe someone else can post more accurate details. You might even email SS and have them give you the stats.

I always take at least one if not two DSLRs and several lenses and have always had room in the safe for the gear as well as passports, credit cards, etc. I have stayed at Seastar but don't remember how big the safe was but have also stayed at many other properties and it has never been a problem.

Our safe was broken while staying there for 4 wks. last year. No problems, no worries.......but I can understand your concern.

I haven't been in a few years, but I'm sure Chris would be willing to store anything too large for the room safe in the office safe.
