@Jay - thank you so much for posting and for the valuable information. We have submitted a mountain of documentation/support already just to get approved on the US side and we will go armed with another mountain of backup. Luckily I am a paralegal and always overdo it so we will have what you mention and more. Still up to the powers that be so I am not counting on approval but I am hopeful. Refusal can be for many reasons so we are trying to not give them any reason to deny - but still.......you never know - it will be a big day.
