Birthday in Negril - SUGGESTIONS PLEASE?

I was last here in April and attended Luciano's show at SeaStar - oh what a night! Turns out I have a coworker back home who is related to The Messenger. When I told him how much I enjoyed, he got me an autographed photo of Luciano with an inscription addressed to "Empress Suzan..." so nice. The funny thing is that it was dated 10/6/2012 - for 10th day of June of course but my BIRTHDAY is also 10/6 as in October 6th. hmmm... Then, when I was busy trying to get the best flights using my air miles AND working out my leave time from the job, it seemed like I couldn't avoid being in Negril for my birthday. The flight combos for any other dates were horrible and I couldn't get earlier or later time off. SO, now I am on the island 9/23 thru 10/12. I have gotten out of the habit of staying in town - I could easily spend some time at Green Leaf Cabins, I need to hang out with Jennifer for a bit - but I think I would like to treat myself to a few days somewhere special perhaps Oct. 5-8. I think I would enjoy a nice cottage or studio for a few days.

Any suggestions on where to stay/what to do? Is there any special events or shows going on? I am at a little bit of a loose end as I had not originally planned to be there for my B-day but I am sure I could find someone to celebrate with.

I have spent almost the last 5 birthdays in Negril...it will be hard not to be there this year....but at least a little bit of Jamaica is coming to me... Sean Paul is playing in concert in my town on my birthday!
