Urgent Plea

I am trying to find anyone who has seen/heard from or about my beloved friend of more than 15 years, who seems to have vanished.
His name is Collin Thompson. He is a slight frame Natty with locks to the ground; a woodcarver from Bread Nut Walk in St. E. He lived in Negril for years, but returned to BNWalk early this year.
For more than a decade we have communicated several times a week. Our last convo was over 4 months ago, and we signed off with a promise to speak again on the weekend. I have never heard from him since, and I can't find anyone who has any report on his well-being or whereabouts.
This is such an unusual development, I have grown gravely concerned.
If anyone even knows someone in Bread Nut Walk, I can't express my gratitude enough if someone could inquire.

Otherwise some of my family are down there over the next few weeks and we will ask for you remind me in 4 weeks.

Kim, we saw Collin the second week of July, he was fine. Betty had brought him some new sandals, I brought him some seeds, and bought yet another hanging bird. He was staying at the same spot on the beach were Jah B's (Herbie's) store use to be. Birdman is working on his glass bottom boat there, anyone who walks by Rooms on the Beach could ask about him and reply here. I will be going down next month, seeing him is always at the top of my must do list.

Thank you Kim/Betty . We have talked 2-3 times week for over a decade. Inexplicably, I haven't heard from him since we talked, after he had moved back to Bread Nut Walk, maybe 4 months ago. Even when his phone was hit by lightening, he still found another phone from which he called me and let me know that. He had a working phone when we last talk, and I put minutes on it each month. I am beside myself with worry, as there is no reason at all I have not heard from him. Please give him my number again, in the event that his phone/my number have been lost. (828)290-0210. We have been the love of each other's lives for nearly 20 years. I am praying every day to hear that he is safe and sound.

Thank you TiCtOC. I communicated briefly with the lady from Sunshine Foundation, via email. She answered my inquiry by saying "I think I know who you're talking about, but he doesn't live in BNWalk anymore." to which I responded..."Yes, he moved back there a few months ago." She also said she was leaving for Jamaica "soon", so I don't know exactly what that meant (soon come??). I have written her again asking her if she has been a BNWalk, as yet, and does she have any news. I am not getting ANY response from her.
Collin and I have had a love affair for nearly 20 years, and he calls me 2-3 times a week. With no cause or explanation, he just dropped totally off the radar. This has NEVER happened before. Even when his phone got zapped by lightening, he found someone's phone to call and let me know he was alright. Kim, I will get in touch with him when I reach, and give him your info. This photo was taken last sept. We both adore Collin, a very sweet, gentle soul. The last several times we have been down, we have invited him out to a show at Roots. He loves the shows, I get a kick out of watching him start dancing/grooving to the music.

I am sorry for your stress and worry. I would be glad to check for him when I arrive in 10 days. I don't know the beach but I can ask around Jah Bs and for the sea man you mentioned Birdman? Not sure when kim&betty are going to arrive.
Hold good thoughts - positive energy will bring good results. Although odd, I am sure there is a good reason he cannot reach you.
Also, maybe you want to post on the South Coast Message Board - there may be more people from that area.
Please let me know if you want me to check in Negril for information.

Sweetness, I just got off the phone with Kim, I gave her Herbie's number, he will pass on the info. If you do happen to be near Room's, Birdman has the glass bottom boat just north on the beach towards Root's Bamboo, he will know wha gwan. How did the visa stuff work out? Would still like to meet you, maybe in Oct.

THANK YOU ALL. My despair is lifting, just having gotten your kind/caring responses. Thanks for the honoring words about my "Poots," one of the most genuine people I have ever known.
If ANYONE can go by JahB's old location on Negril Beach, please check Collin and give him my number again (828)290-0210. There's a high possibility that his phone was lost/stolen/broken and he no longer has my number. Also, if he is not able to call me, a contact number for him would be soooo appreciated.
