Sweet! Some of my first trips to Negril were spent in cabins exactly like this. Remember Eli and Louise on what is now Hati Hati?

    My God.....Mr. Myrie

There was a carpenter shop at the deep curve on the West End road (it had a name back then)

He worked there or owned ...can't remember. Any way..............

We started breaking the rudder on the Hobie cats and replacements were almost impossible to get....

I took the last one I had to Mr. Myrie and he used it as sample and started building rudders out of Mahoe for me.

Some where I posted pictures of my boats and you can see the Mahoe rudders.

He's was a very good man...

The first time we stayed in Negril was at the Sunbeam cottages, on the property where the Sunnyside is now located. It was $6 US a night.

Probably some of your favourite memories were made there too PGW...

Here's one of mine. So Eli and Louise had a little brown dog by the name of Willive. He was terribly smart and sweet but fierce when anyone undesirable came around. One day I said to Louise, "how did your dog get his name? That's kind of a strange name for a dog". She said, "well, when we got the puppy, he was the runt of the litter, small and sick and he looked like he was not going to make it. So after a while with us he started to improve, so I said to Eli, 'you think he will live?' And Eli said, 'he will live'. That's how he got his name, Willive."

One of my all time ever favourite Negril sweet stories!

    One Love!

Cool to hear about Mr. Justin Myrie....I wasn't sure about staying in one of these cabins but always wanted to do the rustic oldschool accommodation type thing. Now I am glad I scored one of these cabins, and at a pretty good price I think, for my next reach! It's always better if there is a cool story attached
