    property tax in Negril?

    Does anyone know if there is a property tax on a residential property in Negril or what % that is? tanks

    Everyone who owns residential or business property has to pay annual property taxes. Here is a link to some information on rates, etc.

    According to website, tax on land valued up to $300,000 JA is $1,000 JA (with values over $300,000 subject to a tax of 0.75%)

    My property is in Spring Garden (6 miles from Negril) I have just under 6 acres.

    Tax last year was $2,750 JA

    Yes that's it. Don't forget that it's registered as agricultural land with a house on it.

    All those years ago I really didn't want to live in Negril and preferred the country. I was running a ship for Wray and Nephew and the last thing I wanted to see on my times off was the ocean. Even when I had the Hobie Cat rental I loved going home to the hills after work.
