Must have list for baby newbies

What are all the things you can possibly think of that a baby could possibly need in Jamaica and yes I know I have children and have taken babies before but I do not want to miss a thing should the chance arise to bring down a little baby newbie in my family.

What kind of a bed would you recommend if there is no crib/cot where you are staying?

7 months old just starting to crawl I am thinking of mainly a bed for him portable kind but they are usually plastic and I do not want him to overheat. Also would be good to find something that a mosquito net could attach to

Something like this would be perfect. I had one when mine were little, and they are real handy for travel because they fold up and have a carrying case. Not super cheap but I found mine used on Craigslist. We got a LOT of use out of it too so it was worth every penny.

He has one of them , I never even thought about taking that , the net over the top is great but the actual matress for it is very thin plastic so no only is uncomfortable for 2 whole weeks it will probably be quite hot. This would have to go inside my suitcase I do not think it will fit and I think it may be too big as hand luggage , good idea though if it fits it will be worth taking.I will look for a net for the top like that one thanks Tizzy

A jogging stroller! It works on the beach, over rough terrain and a great place for baby to sleep while grown ups do their thing. Also good for carrying supplies around.

    Hi Tic,
We travel a lot with our kids, and when they were infants, we found the PeaPod travel bed worked out the best for us. It is so lightweight and folds up really compact, unlike the bulkier pack n play cribs, and I love that it can also be used on the beach for nap time. It has a mesh material on the sides which protects the baby from bugs and will keep a crawling baby safely confined at night. You can find them pretty cheap on Ebay or Craigslist if you don't mind getting a used one.

Here is a link to see what one looks like: http://www.onestepahead.com/catalog/...oductId=536932

I would also make sure to pack enough baby sunblock, a sun hat, and some powdered Pedialyte to keep baby well hydrated. I also always pack some infant/child tylenol and benadryl just in case. And, of course you already know about the other baby necessities like diapers, wipes, bottles, pacis, etc.
