I don't ever make plans for Negril...I love the sand gravity and could easily become a beach bum! I have one item on my itinerary for next reach, October 23 and that is the One Love Drive Bus Bar Crawl. It has excellent reviews and it will give me a chance to visit some of the bars and people that bring the magic to Jamaica.

i don't like to plan more than one thing per trip. Too much planning has ruined the vibe for me in the past, especially when i am with other friends. its like herding cats! Everyone should move to their own energy and interest.
i like to keep the vibe mellow, listen to the breeze and birds and eat only when i am hungry and have cake for breakfast!

those on this board that know me, knows that i am OCD when it comes to planning and making lists. I have been going to Jamaica since 1998 and I still do have a list of places to see and things to do but for this trip in December, I am just planning to party someplace for NYE, eat someplace different every night, and sit my behind on the beach...I might even pick a different spot each day just to spice it up some, lol. OH and I want to have another Pool Party at the Rayon...still trying to convience SxyATLbutterfly to let's have one.

I never plan..only for airfare and where I want to stay. Usually a few days before I go to walmart, target, ross and old navy to get items. I never bring expensive clothing or shoes with me. I do set budgets each day though...if I don't plan on an activity like a tour or eating out, I try to limit my spending to $50 a day.

going for 18 days late jan, we have a few plans other than hanging on the beach: sat nites at Seastar, snorkeling, visiting the cliffs, Red Stripe Catamaran, and this trip we are going to try snorkeling at Rhodes Hall and the One Love Pub Crawl, soon come

Ha, I can totally relate. We stopped planning out our days a long time ago, (and not just with vacations to Negril) because sand gravity just took over each time. Now, we just go with the flow, if we feel up to doing something, we do, if not, we are cool with it. I think once we had kids and started traveling with them, we also just became a lot more flexible with plans. I think you will have a wonderful time with or without plans.

Over the last three years and 8 trips I've had a tight schedule. Even left early once after getting everything done I needed to.

The trip in November will also be pretty much scheduled. But one day is set aside to visit the beach.

The Christmas however will be completely loose. 'Bout time I'd say

    Did someone say POOL PARTY?

I have to confess, the last time I went down for the weekend I didn't even put on a bathing suit...my days consisted of getting some snacks, having a few drinks at some of the bars, stocking up on vodka and tia maria and chilling with some friends on my porch. It was awesome...sometimes not doing much of anything in particular is perfect

Planning is just one more chore that I've given up in life. As long as i have a good book and a drink in hand all the world is right!
