It does taste different and it's b/c the Red Stripe in the states is not bottled in Jamaica -- it's actually bottled in Connecticut or some place else in the US It's noted on the bottle......bottled in {xxxx} for D&G
I still drink Red Stripe while in MD but now I enjoy Stella Artois just as much.
