I think it is so great that animal rescue places in JA are placing pets in homes abroad. And also I am very much in support of the spay and neuter clinics that are helping with the island-wide population problem.

In Jamaica there are three private dog shelters and two branches of the JSPCA. Kim Swaim founded the ISNN Clinics (International Spay/Neuter Network) as a way to help the strays and overpopulation on the Island. She works tirelessly to raise money in the USA so these clinics can happen. We had the privilege of volunteering at the clinic in Negril this past July. It was held in front of the All Ages School on the West End Road. Over 250 dogs and cats were helped over the three days.
