I grew up with Ollie Gates and Arthur Bryants in K.C., spend some time at Salt Lick in Austin when I go down for classes, Rendevouse (hmmm) Interstate Cozy Corner Germantown in Memphis, I've had BBQ from the Carolina's to Texas and think I understand quality,,,,,

Well face it we got lost, we were doing an airport pick up just C and I and I decided to run up and over Sav to Anchovy, shoulda zigged right at Torrington fell left, an hour of unbelievable vistas hidden rivers and some of the worst roads I have ever seen, Friendship - Pennycooke - Williamsford and came back out a couple miles up the road from where we started,,,,,,

Back on track, smooth road sailing, C needs a clean bathroom, looks OK and I accidentaley fall into uneqivicaley without a doubt hands down the best pork (oh they had chicken foot soup, chicken and fish also) I have ever had in my life, my sweet jesus, the drinks stand had not opened, our cooler supplied the pit master and crew, I got the first pork of day wrapped in foil painted with sauce and as we made our way through Anchovy C is hand feeding me, enough wrap it up, oh god unwrap it I need more, put bone in mouth and chew it down,,,,

I have won many awards in a lifetime of competition and service. But the highest was offered without plaque or fanfare on a hilltop in post Ivan Jamaica. A true Rasta and a dear friend observed "Chet you are like a father of men, you see need and fulfill that need without being asked". Let us be travelers and not tourist.
