    Chet,
Are you saying the jerk pork from Border Jerk in Mackfield was better than the K.C. ribs? That's high praise indeed. I have been to Border Jerk a few times, it is very good, but I always imagined the K.C. ribs to be unbeatable. Hope to get to K.C., almost did twenty years ago.

On that day in that moment, w/o even an expectation of having pork cross my lips I would say that Border landed in the top 5 at #1. One thing about BBQ is that each person has their own taste (enter a competition sometime and look at the judges sheets at the end of the day - they have 7 judges for a reason) , not to mention sub categories like slaw and beans.

Please do K.C., the overall experience can not be matched (although Memphis is fun), you could do 7 days of nothing but BBQ joints and still be confused as to what is best.

Not that many years ago the parking lot at Arrowhead before a Chiefs game could give many joints in town a run for their money, wouldn't reccomend the Chiefs game now (l.o.l. I say this as a lifetime Chiefs fan that has seen it all) but the parking pass would be an interesting stop on a BBQ tour.
I have won many awards in a lifetime of competition and service. But the highest was offered without plaque or fanfare on a hilltop in post Ivan Jamaica. A true Rasta and a dear friend observed "Chet you are like a father of men, you see need and fulfill that need without being asked". Let us be travelers and not tourist.
