Ice Cream and Rum Cake

Hi all,

I will be arriving in Negril for the first time on the 26th .... I was wondering where to find some good ice cream and rum cake?!?

i can't remember the name of the ice cream shop, but it's near the shopping center as you are going towards the police station

Devons House...has the best chocolate ice! They also have cakes and little pastries. Its located in a little plaza downtown, a few doors down is Juicy Patties.

Rum cake at the Rockhouse Restaurant was really yummy, as was the ice cream it was served with - I imagine it is the same at Pushcart.

Hammond's Bakery may be a good place for Rum Cake. You may even be able to special order one. They are one of my favorite spots when it comes to baked goods. As usual, if you ask, there may be many great cooks working at your resort. It is truly amazing how many folks are happy to whip you up a great dish.. You get to be happy and they make a likkle extra.....bringing a smile to all.

Last year, we had trouble finding some fresh sorrel with ginger...one of the ladies working at our resort overheard us and was thrilled to make us up a batch..And it was fan...to the tastic>>>>Good luck and enjoy!
