For some cameras, when in panorama mode, you will have to hold the button while you move the camera, the camera will shoot several frames. In others, you only push once to start and then once to end. Other cameras are even smarter, and you just push to start, the camera figures out when to end. Regardless....you have to move the camera, as all the camera is capable of doing is "stitching" separate photos together. The panorama mode doesn't miraculously convert your lens into a fisheye lens...

BTW, I've yet to find a decent panorama feature in a camera that doesn't really require a tripod for even barely acceptable results...YMMV...

I am glad this report got bumped up--didn't realize I somehow missed all the good stuff during one of my board-breaks. Perfect reading and photos as I sit hunkered down with my emergency storm kit waiting to get hit by hurricane Sandy-turned-Frankenstorm. Well done Booger my man! That massage by the sea looks like just the ticket. And you two have endurance in hitting all the good stuff. Oftentimes I get anchored in a spot for days on end.

Thanks Irieworld, my goal is to do a bunch of nothing, but my ADD kicks in and I have to set sail. This trip I actually had tons of do nothing time which reminded me of my first trip. At that time I couldn't believe I was actually in Jamaica and I spent hours staring off onto the sea just taking it all in. I am convinced that 10 days is the shortest I can do going forward, and look forward to the 2-3 week trips that some folks take.

I know I am home when I see this view. Also, if you have some extra cash to spend the place between Tensing Pen and Catcha is for sale. I hope good peeps buy it and either keep it the same or do something chill with it as to maintain the vibe......

Boogs if I had the money to buy a place in Jamaica I would be there right now instead of crammed into my teeny studio apartment heading into cold temps, monster storms and down jackets. I hope I can become best friends with whoever lands that sweet piece of the rock.

I hear you about staring into the sea. My first few trips I brought books to read, and couldn't get through one page. All I could do was stare into the sea, mesmerized and totally enchanted. I could spend hours chatting up locals and listening to the drama of some of the patois exchanges around me. I would also bring along entire folders of places to check out--sometimes they just sat in my suitcase for the whole time. By around trip 5 I never planned anything--just went with it when I was there. I do the shows--love JA music. In a dozen trips the only real excursions I went on were Mayfield falls and Rebel Salute. But often I just swim, snorkel, lounge, daydream, listen to music, dance, and take long walks. Oh and eat--yessir that Jamaican food is the best. Now I have an itch to explore more of the country--so maybe that will be in the next chapter of my travels.

Yeah to both Booger and iriworld, I took books that were left to be read until I returned. Loved just staring out at the sea, well, and jumping into it as well!

I have to agree with 2Nutz4Travel...
"Thanks Booger!! I'm afraid to even attempt a trip report, nothing we do will ever be as entertaining as all of you! Big shoes to fill"

I really enjoyed your report...and I usually avoid long reports but your report had me wanting more...Thanks again!
