Alright my new friends, ere we go with a bit more argy bargy.Or as the late great Prince Far I say"Wotcha Mon"
As i said before, our second trip was a really cheap deal at Rui Tropical, so good we treated our son who i guess was in his mid thirties, he is single, got his own pad and a wide circle of friends some of who are "SOUND BOYS" who run their own Systems for free.We have always had a strong bond and our love of Reggae goes back decades. In my own case to the mid sixties, used to go to place called The Ska Bar, with agood dose of Blue Beat and Rocksteady.Got to respect the first wave Jamaicans, no youth back then, just fine and dandy folks haveing a high time.
We booked into the Rui and to my wifes despair hot footed it to the new Office of Nature, landed on our feet.Nice people, only a mild hussle, but soon became best friends LOL!
Back to the Rui for buffet dinner, too much food man, all that waste, hope some goes to the needy. We shared a room on the ground floor which worked out ok, my job at the time involved me getting up at 4am.Being my first no alchohol holiday i still woke early, just in time for my son to get back pissed. It was cool though,a little time for medication for the meditation on the beach and coffee and chats with the all night bartender who was hilarious.
Walked the beach to the town and to check our pal Sheldon.Very quiet, this must have been early May, very little hustle, just mainly Hi and Hello.
Whent to the West End a few times, showed him the gory glory of Ricks. Also checked out Blue Cave Castle and Seastar for future stays.
Mostly hung around the resort, get our moneys worth, 3 big meals a day, put on F,ing pounds.Peeps where ok, a lot nore insular than our previous trip.
Went to Bourbon Beach for a night out, sorely dissapointed, must have been the sleezy period in their history.
Took a trip around surrounding country, all in all a good time.our son loved it.
More later about our last trip, if you want it,
Bless.
Baloo.
