I think it depends on the vibe you are looking for, and how much $$ you're ready to spend....also would you rather be on the beach or on the cliffs?

Hi Tizzy, I am looking for a romantic, private kinda vibe with great food, and an awesome view (I know I am asking for a lot, eh?) Moneywise, I'm okay with going all out if it's a really special place. He is so good to me, and deserves way more than just a special dinner out. :-)

Did you say you were staying at the Rockhouse? You are already in a great location! I had a lovely romantic dinner there last December with my hubby. If you reserve the 'Rock Table' it is extra special - the table is across the cove from the main restaurant. They light it up with torches and candles tucked into the cliff face - hard not to feel the romance. Since he chose the hotel, he may already have that planned...birthday trips to the Rockhouse...makes him sound like a keeper to me...

Yep! We will be at the Rockhouse, but I should have mentioned in my original post not to include the Rockhouse in the romantic dinner suggestions. I know for a fact that he already booked dinner at that special Rock table, because he already told me all about it, LOL! He can't keep surprises that well, and I am totally shocked he was even able to surprise me with this trip.

Yeah, I think I'll keep him.:-) LOL! I've honestly never ever met a guy like him before. He always goes out of his way to do such nice things for me all the time. I really want to do something really special for him. We haven't even been dating all that long, so believe me, I was totally shocked to get this trip for my birthday present!

You might consider bringing 1-2 bottles of your own wine from the US. Especially Reds.

Oh, I didn't realize they wouldn't serve wine or champagne there! I guess I can try to hide some bottles in my luggage. A couple of months ago, he took me to South Beach, and he was watching me pack to see what kind of clothes I was bringing, LOL, so I'm kinda worried he might find the bottles! LOL!

For the boyfriend huh? Seastar has great wings and cold cold brrr beer on Sundays and all you can watch football!!!! I did 100 candles and it was one of the best with my love BUT personally from her??? OK here GOES! Late afternoon. Siesta time. Surprise!! There is a couples massage waiting for him at your room. Then a preordered dinner set up on a verandah or patio outside your room. With a bucket of his favourite beverage you can watch the sunset together. Takes a bit of organizing but most hotels would love to help and I'm sure you could do it cheaper than 100 candles. Let us know what you do!

Wow, Dash! You sound like you have that romance thing down! A couples massage sounds incredible, and I know he would really love that. We will definitely be at Seastar Inn on at least one of the Sat. nights for the show. I've watched the webcast and I can't wait!
