Take him to Ivan's and ask for a great table by itself. No need to order the 100 candles dinner as you can order the same stuff off the menu for less. The only addition is candles and a table all by itself over by where Ben the hotel dog takes care of his business. LOL. I think it's table 16 that is a solid table and the entire place is romantic at night.

Tensing is pretty fantastic. Might serve your romance ideas a bit better. The resort is extremely small, so there are never crowds. The hammock hut is out on it's own little peninsula, and has amazing views. I will be watching that hut the week of thanksgiving... My room at tensing has a verandah which faces that direction .

I second Table 16 at Catcha. All by itself on the edge of the cliff. No extra charge for the table, and you order off the regular menu. No problem, because you will want one of everything.

Funny, you have a view of Tensing Pen's hammock hut as well.

Its all about "special" for 100 candles. A night dedicated. A night remembered. To see your partners eyes when she
/he realizes the arrangements are for them. You can have one of everything from table 16 any old night. And you will look over to the special table and smile.

I agree with the suggestion of Ivan's at Catcha Falling Star (no shocker, I know)

We honeymooned at Tensing Pen and it is beautiful, quiet and definitely less well known. The view is awesome and I am sure the hammock hut would be a fantastic dinner. We only ever ate at the lodge.

But with Ivan's at Catcha, we had our first anniversary dinner at Table 16 and it was amazing. They went all out as the always do (Of course, this was before they started the "Night of 100 Candles") but it was amazing. They decorated the table just for us and it was awesome!

I have also eaten at the Rock Table at Rockhouse for my birthday and that too is great, so you will enjoy that.
Either way you go here you are going to have an amazing dinner in an amazing place with an amazing view! Enjoy

Here are some photos of us at Table 16 for our anniversary dinner at Ivan's at Catcha Falling Star:

    Hi Baylee,
I think you have already gotten some wonderful suggestions here for all great places. I will chime in with my own experiences at some of the places mentioned above. First of all, we have stayed at the Rockhouse several times and have loved it there, you are in for a treat! You mentioned that you will be staying in one of the villas on the edge of the cliffs, so it sounds like you got one of the premium villas which are awesome! You will have your own private enclosed outdoor shower (love it!), and unobstructed sea and sunset views from your bed! The premium villas actually jut out a bit over the water, so it's pretty amazing, trust me, you will not want to leave! I think the food is really great there, as I have never been disappointed with it. Since you are already staying there as a guest, (and will prob eat there several times anyway), and your bf has already planned something special there, perhaps you might want to look into one of the other options for your special dinner. We have also enjoyed the candlelit cave dining experience at The Caves. At the time we were guests of the property, but from what I understand, the dining experience is now open to non guests on certain days. I have to say it was incredibly romantic and unique, however, I wasn't totally blown away by the food. The service was perfect though, extremely attentive without being intrusive. Actually, I thought the Rockhouse had much better food than The Caves. Of course that could have something to do with the fact that I was pregnant at the time, and food wasn't all that appealing to me then. If you do arrange the cave dinner, try to request the larger cave, as it is not as stuffy and humid. The Tensing Pen hammock hut looks really amazing, and I think I might want to surprise my guy with that set up. (thanks for the idea!)
I think whatever you choose will turn out wonderful! The fact that you are going through the effort to do something so nice for someone special will be appreciated in itself. Good luck! And, let us know what you end up choosing!
