All I had to do was buy some minutes. I understand some resorts also either loan or rent phones which is hassle free and economical. For me that's the way to go, if possible.
Not to be a germaphobe but, I would have to disinfect a loaner phone for sure. Also, does anyone know what you would be charged if you were to loose or break the phone. I hope it would be reasonable, but think that it leaves the door open to a big $urprise if you didn't agree on the terms of the loaner phone ahead of time.
