    Conch Fritters

Anyone know of anywhere in Negril that serves conch fritters? I know of Cosmo's but that's about it.

The best I ever had were on Long Cay, Belize, 1977. Been looking for them ever since.

Best I have ever had were made by one of the workers at a resort we stayed. We were talking about how we loved them and he said he made the best ones around. So, the next morning when he arrived at work...he brought half a dozen to us. OMG, they were still warm and truly...they were the best I ever tasted.

Fred, gotta say that Xtabi does indeed have fine conch fritters too! In regards to Key West, that was the first place that I had ever tasted conch. I was less than impressed.. So, when I first started coming to Negril, I was leery to try conch.
However, I soon gave in and had some curried conch. Wow, it was actually tender, not chewy like in the Keys. I have been hooked ever since.

Sun Beach has 'conch bits' - really, really good, I highly recommend them, but beware, they're addictive.

The tri-fecta Conch Fritters, Conch Burger and their fresh made tartersauce at Xtabi
I have won many awards in a lifetime of competition and service. But the highest was offered without plaque or fanfare on a hilltop in post Ivan Jamaica. A true Rasta and a dear friend observed "Chet you are like a father of men, you see need and fulfill that need without being asked". Let us be travelers and not tourist.
