We are waiting up here in NY as well. I rode out most of Nicole last year in a little board house - no amenities but tight & dry. Once it hit, all we could do was stay put. NOW, up here it's the anticipation....that's the thing. Fortunately I am not on the coast but our area does get twisters. I have done all I can - yard clean up - which now looks like I never did a thing - moved all outside furniture into the garage and tied down everything else. Cleaned out the gutters, put up some extra water (I have a well - no power means no water), batteries, flashlights, candles, granola bars and now we just wait...

My heart goes out to those on the east end of the island (as well as other Caribbean nations) that were hit so hard by Sandy. I am grateful that Negril was spared. I pray that she dies down a bit and doesn't create that megastorm that everyone is talking about.

I hope everyone stays safe...
