There is always a room somewhere, again if your not too picky you can find something. Personally i would never book a room before I booked a flight.

Generally, I am the same way. For the holiday season, I would try to check on the availability of a room first. A lot of the resorts that I have dealt with in the past have been happy to hold the room for a day or so, until one has time to then check with the airline. I sent you a PM with a few ideas.
