In the "old days" seaweed was tossed up against a houses foundation before winter for insulation and the next spring it was turned into the fields to fertilize. Just natural.
WOW, poor baby conchs, dead. Thats a shame. I know exactly where this is, feel for my gardener friends there

Dash we do that here, with lobster shells, to fertilize a field. And seaweed on our bulbs to protect against snow during the winter.
Were those conchs, baby conch shells empty? Not alive?
