    Mo bay to negril

    Hi everyone

Can someone tell me the for 2 people going from MoBay to Negril - no sharing?
Also, has any body gone country route (the back way around) - how much longer is it than going the main way? What is the price difference for something like that?

We thought when we arrived at MoBay we would do the country seen, something different.

    Thanks,

Most private charters are $70-$80. Most of the drivers will try to discourage you from going the long route through the mountains but for a little more they will. I would pick out one of the drivers that people recommend on this site and call them so they know what you want. If you go that way be sure to stop at Border Jerk. It's good mon!

120usd is about right for a round-trip, private charter MBJ to Negril and back. Not including tip. I would think most drivers charge extra for taking the slower, old road to Negril...

the back way is the best way to go to Negril, dont pick it on the way back, if your heading home, break-downs and traffic jams could make you late for "big bird".......

The back way you will see more of Jamaica like it was in years past...although each year brings more tourist to take it so someday it too will "build up" lol......many places to stop, many Kodak moments..
have the driver take it slow and speak up with the "narration"....lol

Then when leaving you can experience the Coast Road, so you get both...
