Gerry G's single-digit fidget -- can anyone relate to what I'm going through???

OK, I'm nine nights away, and I feel like I'm already in Negril in my mind -- Jamaica is all I've been thinking about while tending to such minor life details as taking care of my beloved two daughters, keeping a roof over my head by working my butt off so I can treat myself like a king for another vacation, and generally acting as if other things matter!

There's an intensity building up to this latest trip that's never been there before, as I am returning MUCH sooner than any previous visit, having been on the island just two months ago compared to the usual between-vacation stretches of at least six months or a year.

Partly because of my new dedication to this board (god, I have read every archived trip report since 2008), I've never been more primed and ready for a Negril trip. This one is going to be a doozy, too, because I have a Jamaican girlfriend in the Cliffs, and I'm meeting my ex-wife and daughters in Negril (they're staying on seven-mile) .... Yes, it's a vacation, but I will be busy, busy, busy having fun, fun, fun -- that is, unless they run into each other!

Wish me luck everyone! Tony B, hopefully I will see you in Negril, and please don't drink up all the good cocktails before I get there!

Gerry you sound like a newbie LOL! The same stuff with the same people is all in the same places as last trip relax. I must say i do wish I was there to watch the traveling to the same town as the x wife vacationing at same time. I thought my vacationing there when x husband lives there was bad but he can be avoided. Tourists frequent the same places LOL. Just don't teach her where our "secret " hideout is and you can chill without her. LOL

And I know what you mean. I remember the days leading up to my trip I must have checked the board every 6 minutes. I was so anxious. Half of the fun is the bliss of knowing you are going and that happy anticipation in your gut. I hope you have an amazing time and can make it to some webcasts!
In the meantime Markus and I will write more of our never-ending trip report this weekend and post it so you'll have more pictures to look at before your trip. haha

just think how we...... as first timers leaving for Jamaica felt some 27 years ago.............no message boards, much less internet lol.......... very view articles to read....and no one to really ask any questions to ?? ........it was such a NEW GREAT Adventure,,,,sadly now after all the trips, I wish we could go through those feelings again......

all those trips and STILL SO MUCH to see and do!

I know exactly how you feel ! we are leaving friday (24th) and I can hardly sit down ! i'm already packed and ready to go !
we were just there for a week over new year's eve but we are so fired up to go it's crazy !!!
