All the BEST to Everyone. Jamaican "SKA" is the primary sound that spawned Reggae. If you take a Ska recording and slow it down you get Rocksteady. Slow that same Ska recording some more and you get Reggae. It is mostly about the tempo. But the roots of Reggae goes back beyond Ska (which had a bit of Spanish Caribbean and definitely R&B elements/influence). "REGGAE" evolved from earlier Jamaican muzik -- Revival, Pocomania, Mento, Jonkunoo and Nyabingy plus Ska and Rocksteady to be the "marquee" sound of Jamaica... Attached Youtube audiovisual touched on Pocomania (could not find a Poco recording) and Mento. Follow related Youtube links to clips for Nyabingy, Ska and Rocksteady segments of Reggae Anthology."
Enjoy!!
