I connected through Charlotte to Chicago in October, I was okay for time. The customs there was pretty fast. You should be fine as long as your flight takes off on time from Mobay. Good luck.
If you have the time check out Global Entry. It takes about 10 days for them to background you and than you can schedule your interview. I am doing mine in Vegas as LAX did not have the an appts till Feb. $100 fee per person but worth it if you travel international a lot.
The few times I have flown thru Charlotte it took us roughly an hour to clear immigration and customs.
Customs & Immigration isn't badin Charlotte, the problem is getting back through a small security area. It still amazes me how many people try to bring liquids (both booze and water) through security and then stand there an fight about it. We had 59 minutes on our connection in Octoberand just made it, security was a 20 minute delay? Charlotte is so much better than Atlanta, Miami or Philly!

Good Luck! You might be able to pull it off. 90% of our flights have a connection at Charlotte. They do a great job but, 1hour/15minutes will be cutting it pretty close depending on which concourse you fly out of. Our flights are generally pretty far out since we fly to a small town. You definitely will have a better chance there rather than Atlanta. Praying all goes well for you.
