Long Bay Beach For Sale?

Is Long Bay Beach for sale? Urban Development Corporation (UDC) is advertising in local papers looking for "interested investors with financial capabilities and business experience to manage, operate, and develop..."

UDC has split Long Bay into 2 parcels of land and they also have Bluefields Bay and 1 other beach in St. Catherine up for ,what appear to be for sale. The advertisement does say that the management of this properties is to be "privatized" so it may mean UDC just wants someone to run the beaches. When you add the words operate and develop, this scars me a little.

At best I can see a pay as you use beach on Long Bay and at Bluefields Bay. At worst, new hotels.

Any body know anything more?

Do they indicate which Long Bay beach? I know that there is at least one Long Beach on the north coast, and one on the east coast too.

This is the Long Beach in Negril. The Beachs up for development has been decided into 2 parcels. One appears to be the portion of Long Bay Beach in Westmoreland and the other is the portion in Hanover. I would sure hate to see two big AI's go up there.
