Re: Most airlines wont publicize this But ?
Can't you go to a booking site and check whether seats are available? The flights we take from PHL do fill up, in fact First Class fills up before Coach.

Re: Most airlines wont publicize this But ?
When pricing Delta flights, always look at the available seats because I have seen 1st class seats for coach price several times.
When this happens, they are usually available through the Delta site, Orbitz and Expedia. We have gotten lucky a few times and had
1st class going down, but have also seen them available both ways while wishfully pricing a trip.

Re: Most airlines wont publicize this But ?
We have decent seats near the front in coach for our flight down. I tried to upgrade using points a couple times but was told there were no points upgrades but to keep trying. I will keep an eye on open 1st class seats and decide if I want to try the last minute upgrade. So far in the last 3 months only 1 1st class has been sold and there are still 5 open.

Could'nt get it this tme but upgraded to exit row seats. Always try to get the exit row seats "behind" the row where the exit door is. They can't recline their seats so you get even more room. I'm off like a cheap Prom dress.
