Ahhhbee's review from November trip

Ahhhbees burgers are very good. They are different than you might expect. The Ahhhbee burger is more like meatloaf because of all the different things in it. it is very tasty, if you like it more on the spicy side get the jerk burger, they add the jerk sauce from De Bar to it and very good. The fish burger and the chicken burger are also similar to meat loaf as they grind the fish and chicken. Both the Fish and veggie burger are best eaten with a fork but there again very tasty.

Some days they have roasted then fried breadfruit, this is very good. I have never really like breadfruit when it was just roasted but there way of roasting then slicing and frying is very good.

The only thing I would have as a negative to say is that they were running a Sunday Special. Burger, Breadfruit and Beer for $800j< if you order make sure you ask for the Special. We ordered the special and got the price. Some of our friends went later the same day but did not specifically ask for the special and ordered the same 3 items and were charged 1600j per meal. When they asked why there bill was so high they were told they ordered the items separately and did not ask for the special. I would think they should have been charged the 800j but the owner said because they did not ask for the special before they ordered they had to pay the separate prices. They enjoyed there meal and would have gone back but now they will never go back. Partly there fault for not asking for the special but my opinion is different they should have only been charged for the special...

All in all you should try it out!!

Yes they could of been told of the special when ordering seeing how they ordered the items in the special and given the discounted price. That turns me off. And they lost customers.

we visited w Ahhhhbee and friends several times in Oct while staying at Catcha great food and drinks and even better company locals and tourist ,even took some of his famous brownies to local friends house for dinner,was great vibe to the place have the Cd's we purchased from young man in constant rotation nice dailey reminder of JA ,will most defintly return on our next trip

After giving some more thought to yesterdays reply I would like to add a couple more things. First to your freinds who did not get the special, I invite them to come in again and have a burger, beer and breadfruit on me the next time they are in Negril. The second thing is about the jerl sauce. I don't remember who I said it to but do remember saying it...When considering Jerk sauces I thought to myself why not use the best brand. The best brand in my opinion is Eddy's from De Bar. It just so happens every time I wanted to buy some, he was out. So the jerk sauce that was on your burgers is my spcial mixture and seems to be a hit with our customers...we're going to keep on with it. Thanks again for taking the time to write.
