My favorite lunch on the beach

while we love all the patties and jerk pork from the beach vendors, my favorite is the cooked lobster from the lobster vendors walking the beach, i can usually haggle them down to 500 ja for a descent size lobster complete with lime juice , napkin which you need ,and a fork with a squeeze of lime juice, cheaper than Mcdonalds, soon come

Mon, mi can't wait!!! Lobster is the food of the god's to me!! Absolutely, beyond a doubt, my favorite seafood!!! Every time I visit, I order it several times. I try not to be gluttonous or too over the top and always cut back to just a few meals. Damn...I'm getting older and this trip, sorry, but I am ordering it as often as I can. Fresh lobster in my state is non-existent...unless one considers lobsters swimming in a tank at Kroger...really good...not really. I realize that the lobster in Jamaica is quite different than a Maine Lobster...but to me...it is still good stuff. They are smaller yet if prepared well, sweeter. As the song say, "love the one you are with"..and I plan to love the crap out of Jamaican lobster this visit. Bring...it....on!!!!!

That looks sooooo good! What time of day does the "Lobster Man" usually hit the beach? Does he start at the north end and work south or the other way around??

That lobster guy has the best outfits! Quite the dresser.
We get fresh from the sea lobster in May and June, right from the wharf, in Prince Edward Island ( think Maine lobster). I will eat Caribbean lobster but prefer to wait for May and June and get it just fished

American (or Maine Lobster) vs Caribbean (or Spiny Lobster)....

    IMHO Maine Lobster is sweeter.

Love the jerk pork guy. Fresh fruit from Gem. Neville's patty's are good there not Niah's, but Niah's does not deliver to my beach chair. Of course the best way is taking a beach crawl where you have all the vendors and restaurants to choose from.
