I know they are cheap and break up soon, but when I go shopping in the toy aisle of a dollar store there are just so many things that i like, I mean the kids may like.
I go up and down the aisles, all kinds of cool stuff just in arms reach.
Hmm, this is cool, they will love that.
Before i know it $10.00 dollars are gone with the wind.
This one spot on the beach road.
I used to go there last trip and they really cook to order.
I give the man some money, he goes to the store and the wife cooks it up.
It is really there home, with a small dining room attached to the side of the cook house.
You guys really need to advertise better.
I can't remember the name now.
It is a kinda new spot, Ma and pop place that sells home cooked meals and sells Sarongs things that they hang up and are blowing in the wind all day.
It is close to Colletas Restaurant.
I go to Colleta's for Breakfast about every other day.
I get the Peanut Porridge and fried dumplings.
This one morning I passed the Ma and pop place, but there was no one in sight.
So, I was eating my porridge and all of the sudden there they ere.
The boy about 6-7 and a little girl about 4.
It was the 3rd day for me in Negril and I did not drop off their toys yet.
They were standing in front of the shop in their Blue and white school uniforms.
Honestly, they look like little angels, sent from heaven.
The little girl had her hair braided up with colorful plastic berets thingys in her hair.
The boy had a long stick in his hand making designs in the dirt.
They both had book bags on their backs almost as big as they are.
I was looking through the screen walls of Colletas while I ate the porridge.
They could not see me, but I was locked on them the whole time.
They were waiting for a taxi cab that picks them up for school every morning.
After the taxi came by and scooped them up, I finished eating and walked out to the road and over to talk to the mother.
"You are back" she exclaimed.
Oh yeah, she remembered me alright.
What time are the kids coming home today" I asked.
Ok, I'll be back this afternoon I told her.
One of the things I bought were Pez pop-ups.
Candy holders with a Head on the top, you pull back the head and the candy pops out.
Those were a big hit with the boy and girl.
Spinning wheels that you shoot up into the air and a nurf type rocket launcher thing.
Those Pez Popups gave me a hard time.
You must concentrate to load the candy in those things and the girl was having trouble.
I helped her by holding it open and she lined them up properly.
Every time I stood up she would hold on to the side of my pants.
"are you leaving?"
No little cupcake, just stretching my legs.
"I think she likes you" her mom would say.
We had a ball playing with the toys.
After a while I bid my farewell and left.
Kids grow up so fast.
The little ones that I used to bring toys to are now like 9 and 10, so books and school supplies are what i bring for them.
But, as long as there are 3,4 or 5 year olds around, Markospoon will be on the case.
